1st GEOBIZ PAC meeting was held online on December 2nd, 2020. On the meeting, project coordinator prof. Željko Bačić gave presentation about the Erasmus+ GEOBIZ project, its goals, organization and tasks and provided information about PAC relevance, purpose, tasks and organization of work.
Meeting on the project "Geospatial information and sustainable land development in Tirana-Durres area" with JICA
Under the organization of JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), the meeting on the progress of the project "Geospatial information and sustainable land development in
Tirana-Durres Area ", was held on 23.05.2019, at the premises of the Europa Hall.
In this meeting were present, his excellency Ambassador of Japan, Makoto Ito, chief representative of JICA Balkan office, staff of the State Authority for Geospatial Information (ASIG), and professors and students of the Polytechnic University of Tirana from Geodesy Department.

In this meeting, attended by the Project Teams of JICA and ASIG as well as the Prime Minister's representative discussed the current performance of the project, the work plan for the coming months and the issues emerging during the project development.
Agreement on Institutional cooperation between Statens Kartverk and State Authority for Geospatial Information (ASIG)
The State Authority for Geospatial Information (ASIG), following a successful cooperation, signed on 26.04.2018 the institutional cooperation agreement with Statens Kartverk for the implementation of the project financed by the Government of Norway for the Western Balkan countries with the object: "Capacity Building of the State Authority for Geospatial Information on Providing Geographic Information to Users" The objectives of this agreement are:
1- Enhancing the capacity of the State Authority for Geospatial Information to provide geographic information to users.
Absolute gravimetric measurements in Albania
Hello everybody!
ASIG wants to give a good news for all Geodetic community.
Absolute gravimetric measurements started in Albania.
These measurements are made for the first time in our country and constitute an important and fundamental step for Applied Science of Geodesy in Albania.
Three stations are selected to make these measurements in conjunction with Inst. of Geosciences, Department of Seismic, in the station of Shkodra, Tirana and Saranda. Currently has finished measurements in Shkodra and prepare to measure and two others. Measurements were performed by BEV Austria, with the financial support from the Norwegian Government.
ASIG is coordinating all the work to be also beneficial to the Albanian side.
